Ugly Duckling Build-A-Base Application Steps

Ugly Duckling Build-A-Base provides unbelievable strength and durability and is great for extending the natural nail, creating a smooth surface for natural nail gel polish application, full color wear, applying Tipeez, repairing damaged nails, adding strength for an overlay or as a base for Ugly Duckling Sculpting Gel & Velveteen Acrygel systems. Pairs perfectly with Ugly Duckling Gel Polish and Color Gel.

APPLICATION STEPS:
- Have your client thoroughly wash & dry their hands (we recommend an oil free soap).
This will help remove any oils, lotions, etc. Lightly push back the proximal fold with our Ugly Duckling PUSHEE, and complete your dry manicure with your choice of cuticle tools.
- Etch the nail plate with Ugly Duckling Medium Zebra File. If you prefer using our e-file, a medium sanding band works great!
- Remove all dust with your DUSTEEZ dust brush. Do not use a cleanser that contains oil.
- Apply Ugly Duckling Prep to all 10 fingers.
- Apply Ugly Duckling Primer to all 10 fingers. (If you are using Premium Fit Tips, apply Primer after applying the tips.)
- Apply desired amount of coats of our Builder Base, curing between each coat in our Ugly Duckling LED Lamp for 60 seconds.
- Finish with your favorite Ugly Duckling Gel Polish or Color Gel and topcoat!
HINT..
Build-A-Base is especially great for clients with soft nails, giving the extra strength they need for long lasting gel polish on natural nails. You can also use B-A-B to sculpt or extend broken nails or repair a cracked nail.
